The Internet is an incredible phenomenon, a great wonder how information penetrates all the fundamental geographical barriers of the world. Distance is no longer a barrier in communication, the world has become a global village, and information is transmitted with a speed of light from one place to the other, no matter the time.
My business today is not to eulogies the internet but to discuss one among it’s many usage, it’s actually a concept that drastically changed the scope of internet technology, its discovery in the 90s enable people to buy and sell, earn income, generally do business online, can you guess? I'm sure you know what I am talking about, it is called online business, internet marketing, e-commerce, what ever you call it, it means the same thing, and this is classified under the broad heading of “HOME BUSINESS” Which is actually the theme under discussion.
Home business definition: It is a business activity that is executed or carried out from home. There are two categories namely:
Online Home Business and Offline Home Business.
Online home business is done using the internet facilities, while offline home business is done without using the internet facility, this does not mean that people working from home cannot make use of the computer, or other technology, but what set it aside is mainly the marketing aspect of selling and buying online.

WHY HOME BUSINESS?
More and more people are now looking for other means of making money other than the usual traditional means (i.e, salary job) one of such way is to make an income from a business by locating it at home. According to the Australian bureau of statistics, over a quarter of a million people are working from home, and the number is increasing, no matter the category of home business, the requirement for success are the same.

REASONS WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO WORK FROM HOME:

Before embarking on a business venture, the reason ought to be evaluated critically, because if you embark on this journey for the wrong reasons there is a great likelyhood of failure. For instance if one leaves his salary job simply because he/she cannot follow orders, insubordination, or character deficiencies such as laziness, inability to work well with other employees, procrastination, inefficiency, etc he or she will fail before starting.
So how do we know that we are going into home business for the right reasons, the below point will serve as a compass
1. The need to make our own decision, yearn to pave our own way using our God Given potentials, talents and gifts.
2. To shift from just over broke (JOB) Just Over BOLD: You need to take a bold step toward success and wealth, and that begins when you make the bold decision to transit from regular office “JOB” to home work, because no one can get rich or wealthy working for someone else.
3. Aim or Goal: The ultimate goal in business is success, which breeds fame, recognition, and power. There is the need to work hard in other to attain this lofty height ability to attain this goal becomes a driving force in entrepreneurial activities.
4. Free willism: Nothing gives one a sense of independence more than home jobs, no taking orders from overbearing bossy boss, free to do anything, make mistakes without fear of being giving a sack, query, or what have you.
5. Experience - Before venturing on own form home there is need to learn from experience, which includes leaning from mistakes.
6. Motivated by challenges: -the feeling that success cannot be attained till you rise up to challenges and win.

7. The need to do things better than others in your place of work. Maybe you have a great invention or discovery that is not gaining popularity, or encouragement from your boss or colleague, the urge to set out own your own and prove your worth will become your driving force

Home business people may feel the need to take change of their own destiny, create their own course of action toward achieving success or failure, either way they take risk.

9. Bad experience in regular jobs is it from large company or small ones also make people to shift to home jobs.

10. In Large establishment, lack of recognition may also be another factor that causes a change to home biz.

11. Unemployment and fear of unemployment can also cause one to consider working from home.
Other may be: late or early retirement, lost of job due to sickness, level of education, and so on.
